The primary role of this position is to act as a Windows OS Engineer with a focus on the implementation of new technology and solutions that increase productivity and lower the total cost of ownership of the end user computing environment. You will design, document and implement new ideas for client desktops. You will be sought out as the enterprise expert of Windows Operating Systems with regards to imaging, deployment, features, policies and security.As a Windows OS Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, performing options analysis, ensuring qualityalignment of Designs, and you will demonstrate and apply knowledge of enterprise architecture and standards. You will also be responsible for the development, communication and implementation of the organization's technology architecture and the components required to support it and the integration of corporate and technical architectures and applications.Primary ResponsibilitiesAssess and interpret customer needs and requirementsIncorporate software and system architecture into conceptual designsProvide oversight of conceptual designs to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture governance (e.g., principles, policies, standards, future-state reference architectures)You will be responsible for maintaining awareness of current business and industry issuestrends and incorporate into enterprise architecture designs as appropriateProviding senior level expertise on decisions and priorities regarding the enterprises overall systems architecture.Reviews, advises and designs standard software and hardware builds, system options, risks, costs versus benefits and impact on the enterprise business process and goals.Develops and documents the framework for integration and implementation for changes to technical standards. Provides technical guidance to project team areas as appropriate. Identifyquantify scope and impact of business changes on systemsIdentify and implement security standards as applicableMaintain hardware endpoint standards (laptopsdesktop) for an enterpriseStrong background in Windows 10 Operating System, Developing Windows Images and Windows in-place upgrades Experience integrating new hardware and drivers into a Windows ImageWindows scripting and coding vbscript, powershell, Visual BasicEnterprise is systems management tools i.e. SCCM, Altiris, LanDesk Required Qualifications5 or more years of development experience including full lifecycle activities5 or more years of experience with an enterprise management and deployment tools (SMSSCCM, Altiris or Symantec Management Agent, LanDesk, etc.)5 or more years of experience with Windows scripting andor other programming languages (vbscript powershell.)Experience building Windows 10 OS's and deploying them to physical workstations using a systems management deployment toolExperience managing, troubleshooting and supporting Windows 10 in an enterprise environmentExperience securing endpoints Antivirus, encryption, Multi-factor authentication, group policy, NACPreferred QualificationsHealthcare industry experience Agile KanbanVDI experience VMWareHyper-VActive DirectoryGroup PolicyExperience with Ivanti Environment Manager, Application manager, File DirectorWeb browsers and browser applicationsCareers with Optum.
