To rebuild cathode units and stab assembly. Troubleshoot and repair Electron Beam guns. Perform Preventive Maintenance on EB guns and provide assistance in all other areas of Maintenance
2nd and 3rd shift available
Rebuild cathode plugs assemblies to achieve maximum reliability
Rebuild cathode plug supports and H.V. stab connections
Perform routine preventive and corrective E.B. Gun maintenance and cleaning on regular P.M. intervals
Make major repairs and adjustments to the Electron Beam guns as requested by furnace personnel
Maintain a complete spare parts and supplies inventory to support 24 hour/7 day a week operation
Coordinate outside repairs and machining of E.B. gun parts
Assist with other maintenance and repair requirements in the Melt Shop as required
Education and Experience
Minimum H.S. Diploma, GED or equivalent is required
Trade school certificate in a relevant discipline or additional schooling, preferred
EB Furnace Operator experience strongly desired.
Attention to detail
Ability to correctly use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators.
Machine experience and complex assembly experience helpful.
Must be able to work weekends and holidays
Proof of US citizenship, nationality, and/or permanent resident status in order to comply with all applicable export and import laws and regulations.
