International Internship BMW NA US requirements for Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS)

You will support the US Product Requirements Team to define US market requirements for advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). This includes requirements for partly autonomous driving like active cruise control, traffic jam assist or parking assist up to highly autonomous driving as well as the US offerings of Connected Drive. The focus of activities is both to optimize the functional and technical characteristics as well as the human machine interface of the driver assistance systems to the needs and wishes of US customers.
You will support the US Product Requirements and Development Team to define US market requirements and perform validation testing for advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). This includes partly autonomous driving systems like active cruise control, traffic jam assist or parking assist as well as autonomous driving. The focus of activities is both to optimize the functional and technical characteristics as well as the human machine interface of these driver assistance systems to the needs and wishes of US customers.
The process of defining requirements and performing testing comprises:
The application of market research tools like competitor benchmarking, customer feedback analysis and customer studies;
The formulation of US specific requirements;
The control of implementation of these requirements into targeted function and systems by validation tests;
Definition and performance of test cases and test routes;
The communication of US specific requirements and validation results to functional owners at the German headquarters in Munich.

Qualifications and Experience

Student status meeting one or more of the areas below:
Enrolled in Bachelors Studies during Junior/Senior year (years 3 or 4)
Enrolled in Masters Studies Program
Graduated no more than 12 months prior to internship start date
Prior internship and/or relevant work experience
Availability to work full-time for 6 months

Preferences:

Field of study: Engineering
Concentration: Electrical/Automotive
Additional skills: Windows Office
Attributes: Motivated, conscientious, responsible. Able to work both independently and as a part of a team. Strong analytical capabilities. Previous work experience with BMW in the field of electronics or infotainment preferred.
Languages: German, English (fluent, oral and written)
